There are five park zones to explore, covering different areas of Thailand and a combination of traditional and modern buildings. As you explore, you'll learn all about the history of the country, soak up the unique Ancient City atmosphere, and discover new and traditional cultures, architecture, and arts.
What to Expect
Here's what you can expect to see and do in this area: - Grand Palace: This magnificent palace complex was built in 1782 and served as the official residence of the Kings of Siam (now Thailand) for over 150 years. Visitors can explore the many ornate buildings, temples, and courtyards within the complex. - Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha): This temple, located within the Grand Palace complex, is home to the revered Emerald Buddha statue. Visitors must dress modestly and remove their shoes before entering the temple. - Wat Pho: This temple complex is home to a massive reclining Buddha statue, as well as other impressive statues and buildings. It's also known for its traditional Thai massage school. - Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn): Located across the Chao Phraya River from the Old City, this temple is known for its stunning Khmer-style tower that glimmers in the sun. - Khao San Road: This famous street in the heart of the Old City is a popular spot for backpackers and tourists, with plenty of street vendors, bars, and restaurants.
